CampCo Recreation

CampCo is a full-service recreation provider that offers high-quality, fun, safe and educational children’s day camps, preschool classes, after school programs, pajama parties, CPR/First Aid courses, special event planning/assistance and many other recreation programs for HOAs, Cities, Schools and other organizations throughout South Orange County.

CampCo is seeking an experienced, outgoing, happy and dedicated person to work as an Afterschool Recreation Leader at our Afterschool & P.E. Programs in San Clemente.

LAS PALMAS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Las Palmas Elementary School (K-5), located in San Clemente, serves as a nationally recognized model for two-way language immersion (Spanish/English) which helps children become bilingual and bi-literate by fifth grade.  For the Las Palmas program, CampCo applicants who are bilingual/bi-literate in Spanish/English are especially encouraged to apply.

WORK HOURS & DAYS

At Las Palmas, CampCo provides an Afterschool Program on ALL school days and a Physical Education Program on Wednesdays and Thursdays during the school day.  CampCo Staff may be scheduled as follows:

Occasionally may work later hours (6:15pm)

Recreation Leader (Camp Counselor) Requirements

• High School Graduate or equivalent
• Ideally, some college experience
• Experience in Camps, Teaching, or Afterschool Programs
• All staff hired are expected to be available for work all school days through June 7, 2018.  See District Calendar. Summer Camp 2018 work may be available.
  
  

PROFESSIONAL TRAININGS/CERTIFICATIONS

A.  CPR/First Aid Certifications by a CampCo-approved organization
B.  Additional ECE courses are desirable.

Prior to employment, prospective candidates must successfully complete a thorough background check, which may include drug screen and TB testing and fingerprinting. Upon hire, Employees may be given 30 days to complete an American Red Cross CPR/First Aid Course.
