Kriss
Sr. Recreation Leader

Kriss Young

Education: Kriss is attending California State University Fullerton; she has finished 2 years so far and will soon start classes for her major, which is Communications.

Certifications:
She is CPR and First Aid certified.

Hobbies:
Kriss loves to draw and paint with acrylic paint on canvases.  Another thing she likes to do is play and watch soccer, her favorite teams are Liverpool and the Los Angeles Galaxy.  Editing music videos and movies is fun for her as well.

What are your future goals; personal or with CampCo?
Personal goals include graduating college near the top of her class and becoming successful.  She works very hard to get good grades in school.  She also wants to learn how to play piano, and continue painting. Kriss is an amazing artist who hopes to sell her paintings someday.  Regarding CampCo, she wants to keep working with kids, providing a safe and fun camp for kids to go to. She learns more and more with each day that she works there, so you could say a "future goal is to be the best counselor I can be".

What do you like most about working with kids?

She loves how no day is the same.  The kids are all so unique, and as a counselor she gets to be a person that they could look up to and learn from.

Tell us about your career with CampCo.

Kriss began working for CampCo is October of 2007 as an Asst. Sr. Recreation Leader. She was promoted to Sr. Recreation Leader in June 2008 and will be running the Little Folks Program at Lake Mission Viejo this Summer. Kriss says, she "loves working at CampCo!  Working with kids is a blast, the staff is professional and fun, and I get to work at a lot of different sites. I work the Hula Hoops and Handprints program in Talega, with 3-5 year old kids, an after school program in San Juan Capistrano, and Teen Night in Ladera Ranch.  I have learned so much since I began my career with CampCo, from different games to play, to songs to sing, to how to handle different situations.  I am very excited to work at Lake Mission Viejo this summer!"
