Introducing our CampCo Management Team
SYLVIA ROSENTHAL- CEO & FOUNDER
CampCo was created by Sylvia Rosenthal. CampCo began as a sole proprietorship (which means owned by an individual) in 1998. In January 2024, CampCo became a corporation with our new name “CampCo Day Camps Inc.” and my title changing to CEO.
So, a little about me… I started working day and overnight camps in 1981. My love of working with children and camp life led me to pursue degrees in Recreation Administration and Business Administration. Throughout my career, I enjoyed planning and managing summer day camps, sleep-away camps, resort activities, harbor cruises, corporate picnics, special events, and finally working in City parks and recreation management before starting CampCo.
I live in Mission Viejo with my two college “kids” who attended camp since from before they were born, to rolling around camp in their strollers, to joining the fun as campers, CITs and eventually camp counselors! I LOVED having my own kids grow up right here at CampCo!
I enjoy many skiing, biking, camping & any outdoor activities with family and friends. I also enjoy any learning opportunities (books, Ted Talks…) on personal and professional growth.
I love my job because I enjoy watching children learn & grow each day & I think kids are pretty much the most hilarious people on Earth.

KINDER MEADE-RECREATION MANAGER
While studying to be an Elementary School Teacher, I started as a Summer Camp Counselor at Lake Mission Viejo in 1999 and joined CampCo in 2001. During my career with CampCo, I have been a Site Director, Area Director and eventually moved up to Recreation Manager planning and overseeing programs, hiring staff and designing /updating the website.
I obtained my BA in Liberal Arts with the intent to become an elementary school teacher, but changed paths in 2003 because my love for Recreation exceeded my want to be a teacher. I love working with kids and the new surprises that each day brings. Watching a child come out of their shell and try something new is priceless. I love that I am able to be a part of that. The variety of work keeps me busy and makes work extremely rewarding.
My hobbies include rock climbing, canyoneering, playing co-ed volleyball, snowboarding, fantasy football and relaxing at home. I live in Mission Viejo with my husband Sean, son Brady and daughter Kenzie.

AMANDA MARCH- OFFICE MANAGER & RECREATION COORDINATOR
I’m mama to two boys ages 11 and 8. I have been with CampCo for over 20 years starting in high school as a Camp Counselor, then moving up to Site Director and even managing multiple camps and programs. Currently, I work part time as the CampCo Recreation Coordinator planning themes and activities for summer camp programs. I also teach moms’ fitness classes during the week.
You can usually find us outside keeping active at the beach, riding bikes, at the river or just exploring.

- I loved everything about working here. The routine was super easy to follow and I loved working with the kids.
- The campers! They are fun and hilarious! We still talk about funny camper stories from two summers ago!
